Thank you, Volunteers!

Weather worries were unfounded as the YSF community came together at sunset last Thursday to enjoy food, friends and fun and to thank our volunteers for over 5000 hours of service in the past year!  Board members Patrick Hopkins and Beckett Horner organized and prepared a delicious shrimp boil feast, which was rounded out by a potluck buffet of appetizers and delectable desserts.  The event was sponsored in part by the Fort Pierce-based Sailfish Brewing Company, who donated kegs of their White Marlin Wit beer.  The celebration and free shirts were but a small token of appreciation for our corps of volunteers, numbering more than 60, who faithfully maintain our property and fleet and serve as instructors and safety officers during practices, regattas and summer camp.
