Thanks to all (staff, volunteers, parents, sailors, Mother Nature) who made YSF’s First Annual Fall 420 Regatta a success this past Saturday.

Twenty-two sailors in eleven boats spent the day zipping around the Indian River Lagoon in a series of 8 races.  In addition to 12 YSF high schoolers, we welcomed 4 teams form Melbourne Yacht Club and a duo from the US Sailing Center in Jensen Beach.

Sailing Director Mary Morgan organized a team of intrepid YSF volunteers, who did everything from serve breakfast to officiate the races.  And our young Opti sailors got a chance to observe close up from the vantage point of YSF’s pontoon boat, piloted by Dan Thomas.
