Wow! Check it out – the YSFIRC offices have new digs. That’s right, offices for Executive Director Stu Keiller, Executive Assistant Eleanor Dixon, and Sailing Director Mary Morgan are now housed in the trailer just to the east of the classroom building. (Still located at the same site at the Water Treatment plant- for directions, look here.)

The new offices free up the classroom to be all classroom, and the storage room to be, well, a storage room, at the same time making it easier to take care of business. It also means windows and improved phone service. Yay!

This has been in the works for quite awhile, and the process continues. Board member and dedicated volunteer Al Ebstein is heading up the effort to build the required ADA compliant ramps to the trailer. It’s a big job.

Al’s been cutting and digging 2-foot deep holes for the posts, and there are many! He’s also cutting lumber and constructing the ramps. On Tuesdays and Thursdays our shop crew volunteers are also supporting the effort. One of the ramps is already in use. Many thanks to Al for this big effort!
